Admin feels the heat

Last Thursday, Graduate Workers met with Penn admin for our 21st bargaining session. During this session, both negotiating teams passed back several counterproposals. For the first time following the delivery of our petition, admin passed back a counterproposal on Prohibition Against Unlawful Discrimination and Harassment. While we still need to make significant progress on this article,  our discussions with Penn admin left us confident that there is a path to win the rights and protections we deserve. 

During Thursday’s bargaining session:

• We passed counterproposals on Access Needs and Disability Accommodations (formerly called Access Needs) and Union Rights
• We passed a package proposal that included Union Security and Management and Academic Rights
• Admin passed counterproposals on Prohibition Against Unlawful Discrimination and Harassment,  Workers’ Compensation, and Entire Agreement.
